Ordinary Board Member
Responsible for the corporate governance of Communnity Vision Inc. Role includes setting strategic direction, financial managment and planning, reviewing risk management and compliance and monitoring organsiations performance in line with our vision. The position is for 2 to 3 years and board meetings are held monthly.
Community Vision is a not for profit organisation conducting most of its services in the northern suburbs of Perth. We are 8 years young. Funding is received from both Commonwealth and State government sectors of Ageing, Health, Disability and Education and Training and FaHCSIA. It has a variety of inter-generational, intercultural programs that focus on providing differing forms of care to enable families to be independent and to experience citizenship in caring communities. Individuals are encouraged to be empowered with their activities and there is an emphasis on the wellness approach. Programs include: Aged Care, Youth and Disability Services, Family Day Care, Out of school care and holiday programs.

Selection Criteria Members must feel comfortable and be able to reflect and work passionaltely with the vision, mission and values of the organisation. Visit the website for more information. We are seeking someone who has the time to work as an active and practical member in supporting us with management expertise, networking, raising revenue opportunities as well as building caring communities. Community Vision invites aplicants to meet with the Chair person and the CEO in order to gain more understanding of our work and the second to explore the potential contribution and passion that the applicant sees in joining the team. If after the two interviews both parties feel comfortable in progressing, an invitation to observe a board meeting will be extended to the applicant. A decision is then made to complete the application.
